GENERAL PLATFORM & CONCEPT
Used Oil India is a digital platform that connects used oil generators (homes, restaurants, garages, industries) with licensed collectors and authorized recyclers for safe, compliant, and profitable disposal of used oil.
We collect used cooking oil (UCO), used lubricating oil (ULO), engine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil, transformer oil, and industrial used oils.
Any individual or business generating used oil—restaurants, households, hotels, garages, factories, housing societies, and institutions.
We eliminate unsafe disposal of used oil by offering a transparent, traceable, and revenue-generating recycling system.
Unlike informal collectors, we provide certified pickups, digital records, compliance documentation, GPS tracking, and instant payments.
USED COOKING OIL
Used cooking oil must be stored separately and handed over only to authorized RUCO-registered collectors to prevent reuse in food chains and ensure safe conversion into biofuel.
As per FSSAI RUCO guidelines, cooking oil with Total Polar Compounds (TPC) above 25% must not be reused and must be disposed of through authorized channels.
Yes, reuse beyond prescribed limits is prohibited under FSSAI food safety regulations due to serious health risks.
Restaurants must maintain records of oil usage and hand over used oil to authorized aggregators with proper documentation.
Used cooking oil can be sold through digital platforms like Used Oil India that connect generators with RUCO-compliant collectors.
USED LUBRICATING OIL
Used oil is classified as hazardous waste and must be handled only by authorized collectors and recyclers as per Hazardous Waste Management Rules.
Yes, under CPCB regulations, used engine oil is categorized as hazardous waste due to toxic contaminants.
Industries must store oil safely and transfer it only to CPCB-authorized recyclers with proper documentation.
No, it is strictly prohibited and punishable under environmental laws.
No, selling to unauthorized collectors violates CPCB regulations.

Yes, used oil can be recycled multiple times without losing its essential properties.
Collection -> Transportation -> Recycling -> Reuse (circular economy model).
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Improper disposal pollutes water, soil, and air. Recycling prevents environmental damage and conserves resources.
It can contaminate water bodies, clog drainage systems, and harm ecosystems.
